The Find My network is a crowdsourced network of billions of Apple devices that use Bluetooth wireless technology to detect lost devices or items in the neighborhood and report their approximate location to the owner.
Users can locate your item on a map using the Find My app on an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch or Mac.
The entire process is end-to-end encrypted and anonymous, so no one, not even Apple or third-party manufacturers, can view the location or information about a device. And it's available as a free service to Apple device users.
Key Features
Find My for third-party accessories works the same as Find My for any Apple device - your accessory shows up on a map. Third-party Find My accessories can take advantage of all of Apple's Find My features.
If you lose an item and someone else is near it with an iPhone, iPad, or Mac, it can communicate with their device and securely and privately forward the item's approximate location to you.
On iOS 15 and above, it also supports the Lost Reminder feature.
In addition to the basic FMN functions, the Ehong solution can incorporate NFC and other hardware peripherals, and the software also supports access to third-party apps other than Find My for more device customization and personalization.
